My name is Ram Ekstrom and I am a fourth year PhD student at the University of Michigan. My advisor is Stephen DeBacker and I think about matters related to $p$-adic reductive groups, harmonic analysis, and Bruhat–Tits theory.

I obtained a M.Sc through the Marjorie Lee Browne Scholars Program in 2022. Before that I was an undergraduate at the University of Colorado.

Papers

Hopefully more will go here at some point.

  • An interesting wild torus in $\mathrm{Sp}_4$ over a local field of equicharacteristic $2$, (forthcoming!)
  • Reductive subgroups attached to points in the Bruhat–Tits building, (forthcoming!)
  • A remark on commutators in parahoric subgroups, (forthcoming!)

  • Math 115 (F20, W21, F21, SU22, F23, W24)
  • Math 116 (W23)
  • Math 215 (F22)
